Huawei: 6 GB of RAM in a smartphone, 4 GB would not enough?

By 2016, many have been manufacturers to offer 6 GB of RAM within their smartphones. Most of the time, it was Chinese smartphones, we think of OnePlus 3 and 3T, Vivo Xplay 5 Elite or some LeEco smartphones. Models that quickly climbed to the top of the AnTuTu rankings. For its part, Huawei offers 6 GB of RAM on some variants of its Mate 9 as well as on the 128 GB version of the Huawei P10 Plus announced last week. However, according to one of the company's leaders, Lao Shi, who recently spoke on Chinese social networks, these 6 GB of RAM would simply be useless. According to him, the Huawei smartphones under Kirin 960 integrating 4 GB of RAM would be more efficient in time than some competing models with 6 GB of RAM thanks to the optimizations realized at the level of the system. He then cites the example of iOS which requires half as much RAM as Android to offer the same fluidity and adds that this constant overbidding between the manufacturers who constantly add more RAM on their smartphones assimilates, according to him, to The nuclear arms race between the USA and the USSR during the Cold War and believes that these 6 GB of RAM have the main effect of increasing the price of smartphones but not their performance.

For Huawei, 6 GB of RAM in a smartphone, it's useless!
